Bret A. Jones is the owner and contractor of Island Dream Homes based in New Smyrna Beach, Florida . He obtained his initial construction experience as a foreman for J&K Construction in Charlotte, NC from 1990 to 1993 overseeing the planning, implementation, and construction of sub divisions and trac homes. Following a decline in construction in the Charlotte area, Mr. Jones was a consultant for 10 years in the communications field. In 1997 an opportunity came to work with Space Mark, Inc., a communication subcontractor to NASA. Holding a secret security clearance and extensive communication experience from the US Air Force, he spent 5 years as a technician for the Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, Florida.

In returning to his roots in construction, Mr. Jones obtained his contractor’s license in Florida. He formed a corporation with foundational principals in building practices based upon more Caribbean concept of construction and design.
